Terms of Service

The rules for using Cyberscape and your account.

Effective October 31, 2026

1. Accepting these terms

Cyberscape is made by xTear Studios. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us, and they're also the license for the game. By creating an account, or by installing or using the game, this website or any of our services, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you.
  • You're responsible for everything that happens on your account, so keep your password private.
  • Accounts are personal. Don't share, sell, trade or give away your account.
  • Give a real email address. We use it to verify your account and contact you about it.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

3. Your license to play

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and play Cyberscape for your own non-commercial use. You don't own the game. You may not copy, sell, rent, modify, decompile or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows. This license ends if your account is deleted, or if you stop following these terms.

4. Player conduct

Cyberscape should be fair and fun for everyone. You agree not to:

  • Cheat, or use bots, hacks, modified clients or any other unauthorized software.
  • Exploit bugs or glitches. If you find one, report it to us.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hate speech.
  • Spam, advertise, or post content that's illegal or sexually explicit.
  • Share anyone's private information, or try to get theirs.
  • Impersonate other players, our staff or anyone else.
  • Buy, sell or trade accounts, items or currency for real money.
  • Interfere with our servers, or try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours.

5. What you post

Forum posts, comments, images and anything else you share stay yours, but you need the right to post them. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, show and share that content so that we can run and promote Cyberscape.

To protect the community, posts, replies and comments pass through a language filter and images are checked automatically. Staff can also lock or remove anything that breaks these terms.

6. Enforcement

If you break these terms, or we believe your account is a risk to the game or its players, we may take action with or without notice. Depending on what happened, that can include:

  • Content removal: locking or deleting your posts, comments or images.
  • Live disconnect: removing you from a game server.
  • Mute: stopping you from using chat, for a set time or indefinitely.
  • Suspension: stopping you from joining game servers, for a set time or indefinitely.
  • Security signout: ending your sessions so that you have to log in again.
  • Administrative hold: freezing your account, so that you can't log in.
  • Account deletion: permanently removing your account and profile.

To dispute an action, contact us using the details below.

7. Virtual items and currency

Items, Credits, Platinum and other in-game content are licensed to you for use in Cyberscape. You don't own them, and they have no real-world value. They can't be sold or traded for real money, inside or outside the game. We may change or rebalance them as the game develops.

8. Purchases

Any purchases are for digital content in Cyberscape, and are final unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

9. Our content

Cyberscape, including its name, art, music, code and other content, belongs to xTear Studios. Section 3 covers what you may do with the game itself.

10. Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we protect it and the choices you have. Optional emails stay off unless you turn them on, and security emails always send.

11. Changes to the game and these terms

Cyberscape is an evolving online game. We may change, pause or end any part of it, and we may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to play after that means you accept the update.

12. No warranty

Cyberscape is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, xTear Studios isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost items or progress.
